In honor of National Tourism Day on September 27, Quito Tourism dedicates the entire month to showcase the best of what the "most beautiful city in the world" has to offer, including two major international events: the 53rd International Eucharistic Congress and the Travel Mart Latin America (TMLA) fair.
The Eucharistic Congress, one of the most significant Catholic events of the year, took place from September 8 to 15, while the TMLA unites tourism professionals and international tour operators from September 18 to 20, spotlighting Quito and Ecuador as prime destinations for the global tourism market.
Both events were hosted at the Quito Metropolitan Convention Center (CCMQ), located in the city's northern sector, establishing Quito as a premier venue for international gatherings.
Returning to Latin America after 20 years, the International Eucharistic Congress welcome Catholic leaders from around the world under the theme: “Fraternity to Heal the World.” Open to both locals and international visitors, the Congress featured three large-scale masses (on September 8, 12, and 15) and a grand procession through Quito on September 14.
Regarded as Latin America's premier tourism trade event, Travel Mart Latin America (TMLA) offers Quito a unique opportunity to present its diverse attractions—ranging from its vibrant culture and rich heritage to its modern urban life and exquisite gastronomy. The event brings together global tourism industry leaders and position Quito as a must-visit destination.
