SeaWorld Orlando, considered the Roller Coaster Capital of Orlando and renowned for its vast selection of unique attractions, has just revealed its plans for next year: an immersive simulator that will take guests of all ages soaring over the Arctic. This will be the first attraction of its kind and is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2025.
The new attraction will invite families to embark on an expedition that will pass through breathtaking landscapes and frozen waters, getting up close to some of the most impressive animals on the planet, from belugas to orcas and giant walruses. The adventure will dazzle visitors, who will feel immersed in the exciting scenes of the North Pole. In addition, the attraction will be completely indoors, guaranteeing a refreshing and exciting experience for everyone, regardless of the weather conditions.
The new attraction will offer unforgettable experiences for all members of the family, as it will allow entry to visitors with a minimum height of 99 cm. Participants will embark on an unforgettable four-and-a-half-minute journey in one of two multi-level theatre halls, each with capacity for up to thirty people per session. Everyone will feel an incomparable thrill as they observe breathtaking scenery, both from the air and underwater, including the Northern Lights and remote areas of the Arctic.
Only at SeaWorld Orlando will guests have the opportunity to experience something like this, exploring everything from the marine life to the atmosphere of this incredible region from a whole new perspective. The attraction reinforces SeaWorld's commitment to combining education and entertainment, offering a comprehensive view of the vastness of the Arctic ecosystem.
Using filming equipment developed specifically for this project, the production team was able to capture footage in some of the most remote parts of the Arctic in stunning detail. From lush green landscapes that challenge common perceptions of the Arctic, to snow-capped mountains and crystal-clear waters teeming with marine life, visitors will be transported to places virtually inaccessible to most.
“We are excited to introduce this first to SeaWorld Orlando,” said Jon Peterson, President of SeaWorld Orlando. “This immersive flight experience reinforces our commitment to education, animal care and research. Upon disembarking from the attraction, guests will come face to face with some of the animals that call the Arctic home, including belugas and walruses. By bringing the wonders of this region to the park, we are offering families an unparalleled experience that will be remembered forever.”
With this announcement, SeaWorld Orlando continues to innovate and expand its portfolio of world-class attractions, highlighting its status as a must-see destination for all ages.
