This year, the United Nations World Tourism Organization has chosen the motto “Tourism and Peace” to celebrate World Tourism Day. For this reason, Grupo Piñero will carry out social actions in all its destinations to reinforce its strategy of promoting a tourism model that generates a positive impact on local communities, as well as on collaborators and clients; contributing, in part, to achieving the peace of the chosen motto.

As part of its commitment to communities, Grupo Piñero will launch activities that will promote well-being and social development. These actions will include collaborations with schools, associations and local authorities to support the most vulnerable groups, improve infrastructure and promote education. In several destinations, donations of food, school supplies and basic products will be made to associations that work with children and young people in vulnerable situations.

These collaborations will seek to meet basic needs and offer educational opportunities through cultural excursions and mentoring programs. An example of this will be the collaboration with the Itzé Nah Association in Mexico, as well as with the Mayor's Office of San Pedro de Macorís, in the "Plastic for Schoolchildren" campaign, in the Dominican Republic.

Educational excursions will also be organised for children and young people from local communities, giving them the opportunity to learn about the cultural and environmental heritage of their own countries, while raising awareness of the importance of environmental conservation. These activities will be key to reinforcing the value of education as a tool to promote peace and understanding.

Actions for employees
Grupo Piñero will also involve its employees in the celebration of World Tourism Day with initiatives designed to promote their participation and strengthen their sense of belonging. Among the highlighted activities will be contests focused on promoting local tourism, which will invite employees to share their best experiences with clients, encouraging creativity and recognition of the best anecdotes.

Educational activities will also be carried out in the workplace, where employees will be able to identify their favourite tourist destinations within the countries where they operate, with the aim of promoting domestic tourism and appreciation of their own culture and environment. In other destinations, such as Tenerife, employees will participate in a photography competition, where the beauty and diversity of tourist destinations will be highlighted, encouraging employees to capture images that reflect the cultural and natural richness of their surroundings.

Customer actions
Grupo Piñero customers will also be part of the World Tourism Day celebrations through activities specially designed to promote knowledge and appreciation of local culture. At all of its destinations, cultural fairs will be organized where customers will be able to explore local crafts, participate in educational games about the world's capitals and flags, and enjoy street markets with typical products
from each region.

These activities will be designed to promote understanding and respect between cultures, while allowing visitors to learn more about local products and the traditions of the destinations they visit, all under the motto “Tourism and Peace.”

Commitment to culture and local development
Grupo Piñero, with years of dedication to the communities where it operates, stands out for its commitment to the valorization and preservation of local culture in each destination. This approach has been essential to respect and contribute to the sustainable development of these communities, an aspect that the company has prioritized in all its projects. A clear example of this is the search for improvements to local infrastructure, which has been a
priority for the Group in certain communities. An example of this is the rehabilitation of streets, such as the one carried out in Simi Báez, in the Dominican Republic, in which road infrastructure works have been carried out and the painting of facades has been restored in the houses located on this road, which will benefit both residents and
visitors, improving access to one of the most emblematic points of the area.

In addition, in recent years Grupo Piñero has been integrating elements into its hotels that make them portals to the cultural heritage of each destination. This is reflected in the design of the spaces, which celebrate local cultures, and in the harmonization of the architecture with the natural and cultural environment of each region, thus creating authentic and enriching experiences for its visitors.
