Both the Ministry of Tourism and Paranair agree on the opportunity to initiate certain promotional actions that reinforce the image of the country.
This agreement aims to increase awareness of Uruguay's tourist appeal, thereby reinforcing the country's image as a destination in relevant markets and improving the positioning of Uruguay as a destination in the online channel. This will be done through various activities and the Asunción-Montevideo and Asunción/Montevideo/Salto routes, as well as all the connections offered by Paranair in Latin America.
Minister Dr. Eduardo Sanguinetti said, “It is a new milestone for tourism and Uruguayan air connections. The airline Paranair announced the launch of a new route that will link Montevideo with the city of Salto. This step implies the recovery of domestic air connectivity for the country, with domestic flights that will connect the Uruguayan capital with the department of Salto by air in less than an hour. This action is part of the policies to reactivate tourism in the interior of the country and for which the Ministry of Tourism works and invests resources to have greater connectivity in our country and in the region. The new frequency opens the possibility for tourists to visit the thermal zone and get to know the productive system of the coast and the north of the country in one hour from Montevideo, at truly affordable prices. This is a highly anticipated event for all the actors who promote tourism on the western coast of our country.” He also noted that “this agreement with Paranair is also part of the work that the Ministry has been doing to strengthen the promotion of our tourist destinations.”
