Within the framework of FIT 2024 held in Buenos Aires, Mr. Hernán Couste, President of AMTUR International (Tourism Marketing Association), and Mr. Gilberto Salcedo, Vice President of Tourism at ProColombia, held a productive meeting in which they analyzed the progress and perspectives of tourism activities in Colombia, reaffirming the commitment of both institutions to strengthening the sector.
During the meeting, key milestones were highlighted, such as the Travel Update Colombia , held in May 2024 in the Colombian Caribbean, which has been the beginning of a great collaboration between specialists and professionals in the sector. In addition, the recent agreement signed with the Unidad Central del Valle del Cauca (UCEVA) was highlighted , an alliance that seeks to generate synergies between the academic and business fields, focused on promoting the growth of entrepreneurship and tourism development.
Both executives agreed on the importance of continuing to implement initiatives that generate a positive impact on the entrepreneurial and business community of Colombia, the Country of Beauty , thus contributing to the creation of opportunities and the consolidation of innovative projects in the sector.
