Ecuador promotes youth employment with the Tourism Job Fair

On September 21, the Ministry of Tourism held the “Tourism Labor Fair” at the Cruise Terminal in the city of Manta

This event, part of the “Future Tourism” program, aimed to promote youth employability in the country's tourism industry, providing a strategic space for competitive improvement in the sector.

More than 20 stands belonging to various companies in the tourism sector were set up at the fair, presenting a wide variety of employment opportunities. From hotels and travel agencies to sustainable tourism companies, attendees had the opportunity to explore career options and establish direct connections with employers.

The fair attracted 200 people in person, while another 320 people participated virtually through the employment platform of the Turismo Futuro program. A total of 530 jobs and 38 internships were offered at the fair, which can also be viewed on the platform, demonstrating the high demand for talent in the tourism sector.

Visitors had the opportunity to learn about job offers available in various companies and were able to establish direct contacts with potential employers and experts in the sector.

This meeting reflects the Ministry of Tourism's commitment to job development and the promotion of sustainable tourism in Ecuador. The “Tourism Job Fair” is consolidated as a vital space for convergence between employers and young talent, contributing to the continued growth of the national tourism industry.
