Around 2,600 potential buyers from 47 countries met in this space, where the products that Ecuadorian flower growers send to various parts of the planet were exhibited, with worldwide recognition.

The best flower producers, service providers and industry leaders headlined this year's edition of Expo Flor Ecuador 2024.

Thousands of Ecuadorian and foreign flowers were displayed in various presentations and filled the place with aromas. Walls, paintings, lamps, clothing and vehicles were part of the objects decorated with the variety of colors and species of this representative product of Ecuador.

The staging of this event at the Quito Metropolitan Convention Center demonstrated the capital's capacity to host high-impact events such as Expo Flor, considered one of the most important and influential fairs in the floriculture sector at a regional level.

The event was guaranteed by the participation of the best farms in the country, which have the Flor Ecuador Certification and other international seals that ensure the high quality of their products, in addition to responsible practices, both socially and environmentally.

The event was organized by the National Association of Flower Producers and Exporters of Ecuador (Expoflores), which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary and which included logistics service providers, cargo airlines, breeders and other representatives of the value chain of this industry, offering a comprehensive view of the floriculture sector.

In this regard, it is worth highlighting that the floriculture sector has surpassed, so far in 2024, the barrier of one billion dollars in exports, according to information shared by the President of the Board of Directors of Expoflores, Eduardo Letort.

The floriculture sector generates nearly 100,000 direct and indirect jobs in Ecuador, making it the fifth most productive agricultural activity in the country.
