The new Space was created with the aim of uniting conventional medicine with complementary practices, involving physical, mental, spiritual and social health. There, participants will find a range of products, services, consultancy and destinations. Ushuaia and El Calafate in Argentina will be highlights within this new space.

There will be 16 brands prospecting their businesses in this environment. And one of the interactive attractions is the biodance activity scheduled for the 8th, at 6 pm, which will involve all interested audiences.

Travel focused on physical and mental health is nothing new, but it has been boosted by the Covid-19 pandemic and has generated more than five trillion dollars in revenue in 2022, according to the Global Wellness Institute. According to statistics, wellness tourists spend around 130% more than conventional tourists.

Worldwide, the top destinations on the minds of travelers seeking wellness are Singapore, Mexico, Costa Rica, Turkey, Thailand, India and Malaysia. In Brazil, São Paulo and Recife are the most sought after for high-end treatments, followed by Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro and Curitiba.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, aesthetic events are what most drive business travel in the country, even attracting foreign patients, who seek aesthetic procedures on Brazilian soil, especially due to the good reputation for plastic surgery, with Brazil being the second most sought after in the world.

CONTENT STAGE – Curated by Jorge Kralik and sponsored by Hospital Pompéia, the Pompéia Stage will host several discussions during the Fair. How to prepare the destination or company to receive this tourism segment is one of the points that will be addressed.

Medical tourism, trends, challenges and opportunities in the private sector are the topics that will be debated in two sessions on the afternoon of the 8th. The subject will be addressed by the CEO of Pompéia Ecossistema de Saúde, Lara Vieira. Along with her will be the state secretary of Health, Arita Bergmann, who will provide an overview of medical tourism in the public sector.

On the 9th, the curator of the holistic space, Jorge Kralik, will talk about holistic tourism in disease prevention. Next, Daiane Pocahy, Monalisa Optiz and Jorge Kralik will talk about the Health Ecosystem. How to live 100 years or more healthily is the approach that will be led by Paulo Sato and to close the stage program, Marcione Scheffer will talk about Mental Health and happiness at work.
