Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the global innovator in cruise travel, today revealed details of the new onboard experiences and enhanced spaces that will be available on sister ships Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, the first two ships in the state-of-the-art Prima Plus Class, launching in April 2025 and 2026, respectively.
These soon-to-be-launched ships will feature the first-ever Aqua and Luna Game Zone, an all-new gaming experience and an evolution of NCL’s popular Galaxy Pavilion and arcades. Sister ships will feature even more expansive and redesigned spaces, including the Bull’s Eye Bar, a now complimentary experience with interactive darts and a new full-service bar; and Tee Time, a more comprehensive version of mini-golf where guests can play 12 interactive holes across two decks.
The Mandara Spa and Salon and Pulse Fitness Center will also be renovated to include sophisticated design updates and revitalizing new amenities, including a clay sauna, IV drip therapy and thalassotherapy loungers on board Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna.
“We’re giving our guests more to do with a variety of fun, exciting and elevated experiences for every type of traveler,” said David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line. “The two sister ships will introduce a new space to the fleet, the Aqua and Luna Game Zone, as well as thoughtfully redesigned spaces and many more of our best-in-class amenities, loved by our guests and inspired by their feedback. We look forward to our guests enjoying more of what they love onboard and creating unforgettable memories aboard Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna.”
Immersive and interactive experiences for guests of all ages
As the next generation of Norwegian Cruise Line ships, Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna will feature the Aqua and Luna Play Zone, a reimagined version of NCL’s beloved Galaxy Pavilion and its arcade offerings. The venue will offer a wide range of games and activities that appeal to all types of guests, including virtual reality experiences such as Space Racing and Beat Hero where guests dance to the beat with dual swords, as well as a mix of retro arcade games such as Ms. Pac-Man; Donkey Kong; and Down the Clown.
The sister ships will also offer Bull's Eye Bar, an innovative take on traditional darts games, now featuring a full-service bar so guests can enjoy craft cocktails while playing. As a complementary experience, guests will enjoy the fun of darts with elevated, virtual components designed to make the game more interactive and simplify the scoring process. With six different games, from beginner to advanced, players can aim at a classic bull's-eye with video game graphics and automatic scoring projected onto a large-screen TV.
Tee Time, Prima Class’ interactive mini-golf area themed around the “Wonders of the World,” will return to Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, two and a half times larger than Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva, with 12 holes across two decks to offer an enhanced experience for guests of all ages. Finally, as a result of guest feedback to offer guests more of what they love to do, the Pickleball court will return to its own space separate from the Stadium.
A wellness retreat at sea with Mandara Spa and upgraded fitness facilities
Masterfully designed by world-class architects Rockwell Group, both the Mandara Spa and Salon and Pulse Fitness Center onboard Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna will be redesigned to foster serenity and rejuvenation. The Mandara Spa will once again feature its stunning two-story indoor waterfall and elegant marble staircase, creating a perfect setting for rest and relaxation.
Guests can now relax with the new clay sauna, an invigorating spa service that revitalizes the skin through a detoxifying cleanse and gentle exfoliation, leaving the body refreshed and radiant. The Thalassotherapy Pool at the Mandara Spa and Salon onboard the two ships will also feature all-new Thalassotherapy loungers that promote relaxation, relieve muscle tension and improve circulation. New to Prima Class, guests will be able to access IV drip therapy, which provides a powerful boost of hydration and essential nutrients, designed to enhance energy, immunity and overall wellbeing.
The Thermal Suite onboard Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna will now feature twice as many heated loungers compared to Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva, inviting more guests to enjoy a little calm and relaxation with expansive ocean views. Lastly, guests will be able to further invigorate their senses with long-time favorites such as the charcoal sauna, ice room, salt room and the floating salt pool, which creates a feeling of weightlessness to melt away stress while bathing the skin in nourishing antioxidants.
The Pulse Fitness Center will feature a new design to offer guests a sleek, modern sanctuary with state-of-the-art workout equipment, cardio machines and a spinning studio. Additionally, guests will be able to participate in a variety of exercise classes including yoga, pilates, cycling, stretching and more.
