Marriott International, Inc., the world’s largest hotel company and leader in the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA), today announced the opening of its 500th property in the region. Almare, a Luxury Collection Resort, Isla Mujeres, Adult All-Inclusive, reflects Marriott’s commitment to elevate the all-inclusive segment and deliver luxury experiences in one of the world’s most sought-after destinations.

“The debut of Almare, a Luxury Collection Resort, Isla Mujeres, Adult All-Inclusive, as our 500th property at CALA, represents a defining moment in our expansion, demonstrating our commitment to evolving and adapting to meet the needs of discerning travelers in the Caribbean and Latin America,” said Brian King, President, CALA for Marriott International. “This exceptional property is Marriott’s first luxury all-inclusive resort in Mexico. It also expands our Luxury Collection brand to four properties in the country and strengthens our presence in the high-growth Isla Mujeres market.”

This key opening marks Marriott's growth and expansion strategy in CALA, especially in the luxury and all-inclusive segments. Over the past three years, Marriott's portfolio in the region has grown from 300 to 500 properties, and approximately 10% of its luxury hotels globally are located in the Caribbean and Latin America.

This resort is the 62nd luxury property in the region for Marriott International’s Luxury Group, which includes a portfolio of seven brands including The Ritz-Carlton, Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, EDITION, The Luxury Collection, JW Marriott and W Hotels. Upcoming luxury all-inclusive resort openings include Paraíso de la Bonita, a Luxury Collection All-Inclusive Resort in Mexico, scheduled for the first quarter of 2025, and W Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, scheduled for the second quarter of 2025.

Since its foray into the all-inclusive segment in 2019, Marriott has continued to expand in this market, offering authentic, immersive, premium and luxury stays that meet the needs of travelers. As the 35th all-inclusive property for the company, Almare, a Luxury Collection Resort, Isla Mujeres, Adult All-Inclusive, provides guests with an ideal getaway on the shores of Isla Mujeres, Mexico.

This exclusive adults-only oasis features 109 elegantly appointed suites, all with panoramic ocean views, private balconies and luxury amenities.
