In this context, Travel2latam spoke with Miguel Sánchez de Tagle, Business Development Director of DidaTravel.
How was the experience of participating in this event?
For DidaTravel, participating in these events is always a very interesting experience. Being able to present our products and services to business partners with whom we already have a presence or with whom we would like to work is very important. Being in front of the market and having them know our company and what we do is very useful for us.
Is this your first time participating in Cancun Travel Mart?
This is the second time we are at this event. Dida set foot in America a little less than two years ago, so we had participation last year and this 2024 the reception has been much more beneficial for us.
How many clients do you have here in Mexico?
In Mexico we currently have a base of around 50 business partners and it is growing.
And what kind of properties are they?
We have more than 1 million hotels in our system, more than 70,000 are direct contracts, and we have hotels from five to three stars around the world.
What are your plans for the future after this event?
Obviously, we want to increase our participation, grow our active commercial base on our platform and continue increasing the number of products and hotels that we can make available to them. We also want to increase the services, because for now it is only the hotel industry, but we want to go further.
And what awaits you in terms of participation in events?
Within Mexico, for example, we are already very excited about the upcoming Tianguis Turístico in Tijuana and we are participating in more local events in the main cities of the country.
