Volaris El Salvador, the ultra low cost airline, with national flag, which operates in Central America, Mexico and the United States, inaugurates its direct international route that will connect as of today, the cities of San Salvador and Miami, Florida, with the firm purpose of further expanding the airline ́s connectivity from one of the busiest passenger airports in the United States.
The route between San Oscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez Airport (SAL) in El Salvador and Miami International Airport (MIA) in Florida will operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Having direct daily flights to Miami, from El Salvador to one of the favorite destinations of Salvadorans and Central Americans, opens new travel opportunities in the continent, crossing the main gateway to the United States from Central and South America.

Volaris flights to the United States strengthen the airline’s ongoing commitment to keep reuniting Salvadoran families and diaspora. On this occasion, Volaris contributes, so that some of them, flying with us will meet again in their country, after more than 20 years of not having seen each other.
The Miami metropolitan area, and mainly the Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties are three of the most populated in South Florida. The more than 10 million middle-income residents in the area mean a significant potential for growth in the travel market, to various destinations in Central America.
In 2022, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) authorized Volaris El Salvador to operate direct scheduled flights from El Salvador to that country. Volaris has been increasing its offer of destinations in the United States and so far this year has made a total of 1,372 landings and takeoffs in the United States up to August 2024.

Volaris El Salvador maintains regular operations to the cities of New York (JFK), Washington, D.C. (IAD), Los Angeles (LAX), Houston (IAH), Oakland (OAK) and Miami (MIA). The direct route to Miami will be the eleventh direct route for Volaris El Salvador, which also operates flights to Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico City and Cancun.

As El Salvador's Civil Aviation Authority (AAC, for its abbreviation in Spanish), we are proud to be an active part of the authorization and regulation processes for air operations in our country, guaranteeing the safety, development and expansion of new routes that, like today's, open doors and foster greater connectivity,” said Homero Morales, Executive Director of the AAC.
Passengers can book their flights for travel beginning 28 October, with fares starting at US$99.00 on SAL-MIA and US$70.00 on MIA-SAL, including taxes:
