Until Thursday, London will be the world's tourism capital, as it will host a new edition of one of the most important trade fairs in the travel industry's events circuit. This is the World Travel Market, one of the most important B2B travel and tourism events in the world, offering various business opportunities.

At this important event, our country is present along with a delegation of twenty companies that will present the national offer to the more than 45,000 professionals from all fields who will attend the fair, including representatives of travel agencies and operators, accommodation services, airlines, cruises, luxury products and technology.

The Undersecretary of Tourism, Verónica Pardo, said that “Participating in the World Travel Market in London is essential to consolidate Chile in the British market, especially after having received more than 46,000 visitors from England in 2023, 94% more than the previous year, and from January to September of this year more than 35,000 visitors from the same country. This event allows us to promote our destinations to an audience that values quality and diversity, strengthening commercial ties that benefit our tourism industry. With an average daily expenditure of 93.5 dollars, the English traveler represents a great opportunity for our economy and, in this instance, we continue to position Chile as a destination of excellence and safety in South America.”

For over forty years, being at WTM 2024 has meant being part of the three most influential days you can have in the travel industry: it is where decision-makers meet to set plans, where travel and tourism teams from around the world build relationships, and where business is discovered and done.

For the national director of Sernatur, Cristóbal Benítez, “being once again at WTM 2024 means strengthening promotional actions that further boost the arrival of tourists from the United Kingdom to our country, one of the markets prioritized by our international promotion plan. This is also a market with high potential, not only because we will be able to show Chile's attractions and experiences to potential visitors, but because it will allow us to build commercial relationships and do business in favor of the national industry.”
