In an interview during the event, Hugo Clarinda, director of the Curaçao tourism office, highlighted that, although the island is Caribbean, it belongs to the Dutch Kingdom, which is reflected in the architecture and culture, providing an environment with European influences.

In addition to the crystal-clear beaches that attract visitors from all over the world, Curaçao offers a calendar of outstanding events, such as the Curacao North Sea Jazz Festival, which in August featured artists such as Maluma, Gladys Knight and Seal. Hugo Clarinda emphasized that the local cuisine, rich in diversity, reflects the various cultures present on the island, attracting lovers of different tastes.

Another point Clarinda made was Curaçao’s commitment to sustainability. He emphasized that the island already generates more than 30% of its energy from renewable sources, with the goal of reaching 70% in the next two years, demonstrating its commitment to advanced environmental practices.

Curaçao has been investing heavily in the growth of tourism in Latin America, with Brazil emerging as a priority market. Clarinda explained that the island is connected to the country by direct flights from Belo Horizonte, as well as connections via Panama and Colombia, which facilitates access for Brazilian tourists to the destination.
