Accompanied by the president of the National Association of Hotel Chains, Luis Barrios Sánchez, she addressed key issues for the sector, with the aim of boosting Mexico's tourism industry through promotion and the implementation of digital platforms that consolidate the positioning of destinations in the national and international markets.
Rodríguez Zamora emphasized the importance of coordinated work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to implement a 10-point protocol in relation to travel alerts issued by other countries, as well as working in a synchronized manner with specific actions to prevent them.
In the same vein, he highlighted the work of the Ministry of Tourism, in coordination with the Olmeca-Maya-Mexica Airport, Railway and Auxiliary Services Group, to consolidate major infrastructure projects in favor of tourism activity.
He stressed that, as part of the country's international promotion abroad, Visit Mexico will be enriched, from its website to its social networks, in coordination with state governments; thus, the Mexico brand will be repositioned.
The head of Sectur reiterated the importance of working together with the states to promote Mexico's events, festivals, cultural wealth, gastronomy, and art, through a positive social communication strategy towards the world.
He highlighted the work being carried out with the states and municipalities, venues for the 2026 World Cup, and with the business sector, to achieve the best result in terms of promotion towards the democratization of football, which involves carrying out activations in the 32 states of the country and its 177 Magical Towns, with the aim of having the Indigenous Peoples and communities be part of the greatest football celebration.
