In this context, Travel2latam spoke with Elena Rodríguez, Regional MICE Senior Manager for Europe at Palladium Hotel Group.
What are the objectives with which Palladium Hotel Group comes to present itself at IBTM?
We are presenting our entire portfolio of brands, both European and Caribbean hotels. We are emphasizing some hotels such as TRS Ibiza Hotel, which is coming with a very innovative all-inclusive and premium approach with service only for adults, which gives many advantages to corporate events. We are also presenting the new convention center in Punta Cana that has just been renovated, with capacity for 500 people. And we are coming with very strong brands such as Hard Rock, of which there are three in Spain; Ibiza, Tenerife and Marbella.
We are ending the year. What does this season leave you with?
The truth is that 2024 has been a good year for us. In 2023 we had spectacular growth, we were already coming from 2022-2023 with very notable growth. And 2024 has been a good year, but perhaps more of consolidation.
We have continued with very similar objectives to those for 2023 and we are anticipating a strong recovery and growth for 2025.
Which properties have stood out during 2024?
Our hotels in Ibiza have performed very well, as have hotels on the peninsula such as Hard Rock Tenerife and Hard Rock Marbella.
What are your general prospects for all your properties globally in the MICE segment?
We have noticed again that long-term events are being signed again.
Due to the nature of our hotels and the incentive and entertainment component that we focus on, we receive events for example in cosmetics and hairdressing, which are segments with which we work a lot.
Which issuing countries generate the most demand?
Mainly United Kingdom, Spain and United States.
