What are the objectives of Grupo Posadas participating in IBTM World?
For Posadas, the European market is very important, but buyers from all over the world also come to this fair, so we definitely have to be there. We have been doing it for several years now and it is getting better and better, so we are happy to be here.
It's November, the season is coming to a close. What do you think about what Grupo Posadas has experienced in 2024?
It has been a very good year, with a lot of growth and expansion of hotels and also new projects for the chain. Specifically, there is a new hotel that we are promoting in Punta Cana, the Fiesta Americana Funeeq, which will open next summer 2025. We will receive groups there starting in the fall, so it is a special property with a new brand within Fiesta Americana and we are very happy that it is going to open.
Do you have any further details you can provide us with about that property?
There will be 494 rooms with eight restaurants, and it will have a group area that will be shared with our current hotel called Live Aqua, which is right next door. Both will share the convention area and this one will also have a water park and will be family-friendly. Live Aqua is adults only, so we are going to expand the market a bit at this point and destination.
What are your projections for 2025?
We will continue to work very hard for Fiesta Americana. The Mexican market is the main producer of our hotels, as is the United States, Canada, Latin America and then Europe. We have many hotels, almost 200 with a lot of offer and we hope to receive groups from all these destinations.
