With the start of the season of direct flights from Poland to Mexico, Quintana Roo's international connectivity is strengthened, with the collaboration between the Rainbow operator and the LOT Polish Airlines, which will allow Polish travelers to enjoy direct trips to the Mexican Caribbean, reported the head of the State Secretariat of Tourism (SEDETUR) Bernardo Cueto Riestra.
He explained that Rainbow will offer weekly flights from Warsaw to Cancun on Sundays and from Katowice to Cancun on Thursdays, operated on the modern 787 Dreamliner of LOT Polish Airlines, one of the most prestigious airlines in Europe.
This new route will not only facilitate the arrival of Polish tourists, but also opens a key air bridge between two high-potential tourism markets, strengthening the position of Mexico and Quintana Roo as world-class tourist destinations, he said.
Cueto Riestra explained that in the New Era of Tourism led by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa, the Government of Quintana Roo is committed to sustainable growth and diversification of tourism in the state, therefore, it celebrates this new international connection and reaffirms its ongoing effort to increase connectivity with more destinations in Europe and other parts of the world.
These types of initiatives are key to continuing to consolidate Quintana Roo as an attractive destination for international tourists, which, in turn, will contribute to the shared prosperity of the people of Quintana Roo, as well as the workers in the tourism industry, who make the state great.
"Air connectivity is essential for the development of our state and to continue strengthening tourism, which is one of the main sources of employment and well-being for Quintana Roo families. We applaud the efforts of Rainbow and LOT Polish Airlines, and we are committed to continue working to open new routes that expand growth opportunities for everyone," said the head of SEDETUR.
The launch of these direct flights underlines the importance of maintaining solid international relations and continuing to promote projects that attract tourists from strategic markets.
Furthermore, it promotes economic prosperity not only in tourist destinations, but also throughout the entire tourism value chain, benefiting hotels, restaurants, tourist services, businesses and the community in general.
