The Dominican low-cost airline reported that during the month of November it transported 96,586 passengers, making it the busiest month of 2024 for the airline, moving 7% of the travelers who entered or left the country. In addition, last month Arajet managed to exceed one million passengers in 2024, being the first Dominican airline to transport this number of passengers in one year.
These figures are part of the report of the Civil Aviation Board (JAC) that provides information that projects Arajet as the most active Dominican airline with a notable growth since the start of its operations at the Punta Cana Airport and they expect it to increase in the month of December.
They explained that Arajet currently represents 85% of the passengers transported between local airlines, which added to more than 25,000 connecting passengers exceeds 120,000 users, being the Dominican airline with the greatest flight movement from the different airports in the country.
Victor Pacheco Méndez, CEO & Founder of Arajet, expressed his gratitude to the passengers who have chosen the airline as their best option for their tourism or business trips and who have made it the fourth busiest airline in the Dominican Republic.
“Arajet will continue to offer the lowest fares on the market and quality service with the highest standards to position the country as an air hub for the region and strengthen the local tourism industry,” said Pacheco.
They also highlighted that the busiest routes in Punta Cana were Buenos Aires and São Paulo, while in the Americas they were Bogotá and Medellín.
The airline indicated that it expects to end 2024 transporting approximately 1.2 million passengers to consolidate its exponential growth from Canada to the Southern Cone with the new routes it is operating from Punta Cana Airport.
