In a day of recognition and celebration, PROMPERÚ held the closing and award ceremony for the Ruta Exportadora program, which every year helps thousands of Peruvian companies improve their export capacity and consolidate their presence in international markets.
The program has more than 120 specialized services, which were designed by PROMPERÚ with the aim of accompanying companies in their process of adaptation to the constant changes in global trade, and helping them take advantage of opportunities in international markets.
"Our goal is to strengthen the export capacity of Peruvian companies, both those that are beginning their export journey and those already consolidated, offering them a wide range of business services that allow them to improve their competitiveness," said Ricardo Limo, executive president of PROMPERÚ.
During 2024, Ruta Exportadora organized 454 activities, of which 381 were held in Lima and 73 in various regions of the country, covering the needs of a wide spectrum of companies. These activities included training, practical workshops, technical assistance and trade promotion events, all aimed at increasing the competitiveness of companies and accelerating their internationalization process.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of awards to the most outstanding companies in their participation in the program; these were awarded to the companies that stood out the most in the training and activities carried out during the year. In addition, they symbolize the effort and commitment of Peruvian companies to bring their products to the world.
Since its inception in 2012, the Ruta Exportadora program has served 23,035 companies, supporting them in their internationalization process and contributing to the growth of Peruvian foreign trade. In 2024, until November, PROMPERÚ assisted 7,319 companies, of which 1,516 managed to ship 2,644 products to 155 international markets, reaching a total of USD 16,789 million in exports.
“This amount represents an increase of 17.8% compared to the same period in 2023, which shows the positive impact of the program on the growth of Peruvian exports,” added Limo Del Castillo.
With this 2024 closing of the Export Route, PROMPERÚ reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the country's export capacity and creating new opportunities for Peruvian companies in international markets.
