Contacto Magazine recognized Arajet CEO and Founder, Victor Pacheco Méndez as Executive of 2024 in the Dominican Republic, where through a survey, its readers voted thus obtaining the distinction with the highest evaluation of this initiative.
In the annual publication that recognizes the public and private sectors, readers chose Victor “Ito” Bisonó, Minister of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs of the Dominican Republic as the official of the year, who expressed that this recognition symbolizes the collective effort of the MICM team to meet the objectives set and the public trust in his management.
Pacheco Méndez said, “This is a great honor that I accept with humility and I thank its readers for their appreciation. We value the recognition of the effort and constant work that we are putting in, and that the public has perceived it as such.”
“The Arajet brand has had great penetration in the Dominican Republic, and readers have expressed this, but the truth is that I ask God to give me health and life so that I can contribute to the country what these businessmen have contributed for many years,” he said.
He said that during the two years of the airline's operation, its vision has been significantly strengthened, marking important milestones for the airline industry in the region, and this has allowed Arajet to position itself as one of the main airlines on the continent.
He pointed out that they will close 2024 with more than 1.2 million passengers, which, with only 10 aircraft and 2 years of operations, is a great achievement. And he highlighted that it is the first time that a Dominican airline has exceeded one million passengers. “For 2025, we hope to add new aircraft and close the year with around 1.7 million passengers,” he explained.
