United Airlines will continue to expand its presence in Colombia by doubling its daily flight offering from Medellín, Colombia, to Houston, Texas, from May 22 to August 18, 2025. During peak season, passengers
will have two daily options to travel between the two cities:
From Medellin to Houston:
Flight UA 2740 departing at 00:15 HRS - New
Flight UA 1676 departing at 9:45 HRS
From Houston to Medellin
Flight UA 2741 departing at 23:59 HRS - New
Flight UA 1675 departing at 16:36 HRS
This increase in flights complements the existing service from Houston to Bogotá, which has two daily frequencies throughout the year.
Additionally, flights from Newark/New York to the Colombian capital will increase from one to two daily frequencies this December holiday period, as well as in March and from May to August in 2025.1 In total, United now has up to six daily flights connecting the United States with Colombia, more than ever.
In 2025, United is also expanding its network with new destinations in the Caribbean and Mexico. February marks the launch of a once-weekly seasonal service from Dominica to Newark/New York. Beginning in April, United will become the first and only airline to connect the United States to Puerto Escondido, Mexico, with a once-weekly, year-round nonstop flight from Houston.
Additionally, in May, United will launch two nonstop destinations from San Francisco to Central America, with the addition of new daily flights to both San Jose, Costa Rica, and Panama City, Panama.
With these new frequencies and routes, United Airlines reaffirms its commitment to connecting the world, providing its passengers with more travel options and flexibility, while strengthening its presence in Latin America and the Caribbean.
