Copa Airlines, a subsidiary of Copa Holdings, SA (NYSE: CPA) and member of the Star Alliance global airline network, has once again been recognized by CIRIUM as the "Most Punctual Airline in Latin America" for 2024. For the tenth time, the airline has received this recognition, achieving, on this occasion, the highest punctuality rate on the continent with 88.22% on-time arrivals, above all airlines in the region. Furthermore, this rate achieved is the highest in all of America and is positioned as the highest among recognized airlines in the global category and third best in the world.

In addition to highlighting Copa Airlines’ punctuality achievements, the “On-Time Performance (OTP)” 2024 report, presented by CIRIUM, highlighted the airline’s impressive schedule compliance factor for the same period, which stood at 98.73% even with the temporary suspension of the MAX9 fleet in January 2024 and flights to Venezuela in August, which positions Copa among the six airlines with the lowest cancellation rate on the continent.
The CIRIUM ranking evaluates the performance of 500 airlines based on the number of seats and flights, as well as the availability of seats per kilometer, and categorizes them into “global” and “regional”. This ranking is based on information collected from more than 600 global real-time flight sources, including airlines, airports, global distribution systems, position data and civil aviation authorities.
This recognition adds to the numerous awards that Copa Airlines received in 2024, including: the Webby Awards for the exceptional user interface of its copa.com website; the Onboard Hospitality Awards for its sugarcane bagasse cups with EarthCoating coating, which seek to eliminate single-use plastic in its operation. In addition, for the 9th consecutive year, it was also selected as the best airline in Central America and the Caribbean by Skytrax.
