Grupo Piñero will be present at FITUR 2025 in Hall 3, Stand 3B03, where its hotel division will be the protagonists, on the one hand, with spaces dedicated to Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and Cayo Levantado Resort, and on the other hand, its tour operator division, through the Soltour brand, which is commemorating 50 years of history.
Under the concept “50 Laps around the Sun”, the company is beginning the celebration of its 50th anniversary, kicking things off at FITUR, with an agenda full of activities that reflect its commitment and leadership in the tourism sector. Grupo Piñero has been innovating and growing for half a century with milestones as important as its recent alliance with Hyatt, a strategic agreement that marks a before and after in the evolution of the company and its hotel division.
The company will also celebrate the third edition of the “Los + Ecoístas” awards, an event launched by its Somos Ecoístas movement that seeks to recognize its clients, suppliers, partners, and collaborators with environmentally sustainable projects and initiatives in the tourism sector during 2024.
FITUR 2025: a key scenario for transformation and the future
At a crucial moment for the company, Grupo Piñero is coming to FITUR 2025 highlighting its evolution over 50 years and projecting its vision for the future. Third Edition of the “Los + Ecoístas” Awards | Thursday, January 23 at 12:00
One of the highlights of the agenda will be the presentation of the third edition of the “Los + Ecoístas 2025” awards, a recognition aimed at suppliers, collaborators, allies or national and international partners of the company who are actively working in the fight against climate change.
The event will feature Arturo Crosby, a leading expert in tourism sustainability and founder of Tourism4Nature, who, together with the Piñero family, will present the awards to the Most Ecoístas of the last year.
As in previous years, this year's awards, made from recycled and sustainable materials, reflect Grupo Piñero's commitment to art, the planet and inclusion. On this occasion, they have been designed by the ALaPar Foundation, an entity with more than 75 years of experience dedicated to promoting the rights and opportunities of people with intellectual disabilities.
Soltour Talks | Wednesday, January 24 - Friday, January 26
Soltour, the leading independent tour operator in Spain and Portugal, and the seed from which Grupo Piñero emerged, will also celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, with a unique programme of activities designed to thank all those who have been part of this journey. Since its inception, Soltour has promoted a new way of travelling, and during these days, its stand will be a space dedicated to celebration and recognition, with various activations, games and gifts.
In addition, there will be an ambitious programme of round tables under the name of Soltour Talks, and the signing of key agreements with some of the most prominent destinations in which the company operates. Of particular note is the conversation that will take place on Friday 24 January: “The future of tour operations: shared horizons; a conversation between Soltour and Ávoris”, moderated by Manuel Molina, director of Hosteltur, and will feature the presence of Vicente Fenollar, executive president of the Ávoris Board, and Tomeu Bennasar, CEO of Soltour.
Piñero Group at the FITUR 2025 forums
In parallel to the activities at its stand, Grupo Piñero will be present at the TechYFuturo Forum with José María Subías, Global Head of Talent at Grupo Piñero, as moderator. The forum will be held on Thursday 23 January at 5:30pm in Hall 10, Stand 10B03, and this year will have the theme “How to guide training in the era of tourist intelligence?”.
In addition, Mateo Ramón, Chief Technology & Digital Transformation at Grupo Piñero, will participate in the round table organized by Hotelverrse on artificial intelligence entitled “Can AI elevate the human touch or is it just hype?”, which will take place on Wednesday, January 22 at 12:30 p.m. at stand 8D26. He will also be present on the 23rd, at the “Business Intelligence” table organized by EISI, at its Stand 8D20, at 12:00 p.m., reinforcing Grupo Piñero's commitment to technological innovation.
The company will also be present at FITUR Screen on Wednesday 22nd at 4:00 pm in a round table in which Isabel Piñero will participate, presenting the film Amanece en Samaná, a production made by AIE Ron Vino y Miel, with the participation of A NAME LIKE THIS and financed by Grupo Piñero. This work reflects the natural and cultural wealth of the destination, highlighting its commitment to sustainability and local development.
