Avianca announced the launch of three new routes that will allow more travelers to connect directly to and from the United States starting March 30: Bogotá - Tampa, Medellín - Fort Lauderdale and San José (Costa Rica) - Miami.
The new routes will be operated by Airbus A320 family aircraft with capacity for 180 passengers.
Avianca will offer four weekly frequencies and 1,440 seats available on the Bogotá-Tampa route; one daily frequency each week and 2,520 seats on the Medellín-Fort Lauderdale route and one daily frequency with 2,520 seats on the San José-Miami route.
"After a 2024 in which we managed to consolidate the most extensive network in our history and transport the largest number of passengers in our 105 years, we are very excited to continue strengthening the connectivity of Bogotá, Medellín and San José to the United States, and also to be very close to opening a new destination: Tampa. We will continue working with authorities, airports and allies to make these routes a success," said David Alemán, Avianca Sales Director for Colombia and South America.
