RIU Hotels & Resorts announces its completely revamped website and innovative mobile app, designed to offer an exceptional user experience and improve omnichannel connection with its customers. With these new digital tools, the chain reaffirms its commitment to excellence in customer service and technological development, always seeking to meet the needs and expectations of its guests in an increasingly digital world.

RIU's new website offers a visual and intuitive design, following the Atomic Design methodology, highlighting high-resolution images and videos that capture the essence of each destination in which the chain is present, together with more attractive and current informative texts that incite emotions. This platform, which features optimized navigation, not only informs, but also inspires users through attractive and exciting multimedia content, promoting a richer and more meaningful interaction with them and allowing users to easily access all the information about the hotel chain's services and properties.

On a technological level, the new www.riu.com has posed great challenges. Developed with the most advanced technologies, based on a new content manager and a microservices architecture that allows a faster, more reliable, personalized and efficient experience for users, the new RIU website not only offers new functionalities in an agile manner, but is also capable of rapidly adapting to the changing needs of the market and customers. In addition, the full integration of the new website with the chain's hotel management allows users to check room availability in real time, guaranteeing that price and reservation data are always up to date.

RIU's new website includes all the product improvements the chain has undergone in recent years, such as Elite Club or Riu Party, where users can see when parties are being held at each hotel and even reserve VIP spaces. An innovative experiences section has been created, where customers can find their ideal hotel based on their affinity. The destination and hotel sections are also completely new, more visual and inspiring, providing information of interest in an intuitive way for the customer. Likewise, great importance has been given to the loyalty channel, RIU Class, with a completely renovated section, facilitating access and registration to the program with the social buttons on Google and Facebook. At the same time, the new RIU mobile app, with a fully updated visual experience adapted to the current look & feel of the hotel chain's revamped website, offers users a convenient and accessible channel to make reservations, manage stays and receive offers, among other benefits before their arrival. During their stay, it also offers them features such as checking in, reserving restaurants or the spa, contacting reception or viewing the entertainment calendar, among others. In short, the new RIU app is established as a strategic channel for communication, sales and a 360º relationship with the customer for the chain.


The download rate of the previous RIU app and the level of customer satisfaction were very high, reaching 2.5 million downloads for Android or a score of 4.8 out of 5 in the Apple store. Therefore, with this updated mobile application, available for iOS and Android devices, the chain aims to maintain excellence, improving the user browsing experience with features such as a new, more intuitive booking process fully conceptualised for each device, a new, more inspiring and visual section of hotels and destinations or, greater visibility of the RIU Class loyalty programme, among others.
