Avianca continues to work towards offering a more inclusive and accessible flight experience for its customers by announcing the launch of a new website that will be dedicated to providing support to passengers with disabilities and their companions.

With this initiative, the airline seeks to provide clear, detailed and personalized information so that all travelers can enjoy an accessible and comfortable flight experience.

The website is the result of a strategic redesign that puts the user's needs at the center, in order to provide a more intuitive and flexible experience from trip planning to arrival at destination. Thus, Avianca's accessibility page features:

Separate guidance for medical and accessibility issues: allowing passengers to quickly find the supply they need.

Disability section: with specific information for visual, hearing, physical, intellectual and/or psychosocial disabilities, as well as recommendations for each stage of the customer journey.

“Accessibility is a priority for Avianca. Our new website is a big step towards meeting our goal of removing barriers and making travel easier for passengers with disabilities. By providing detailed and personalized information, we enable them to plan their journey with greater ease and confidence,” said Michael Swiatek, Chief Accessibility Officer at Abra.

This action is added to the more than 32 initiatives undertaken by the airline on its path towards more accessible aviation. Among them, the improvement of signage on 38 aircraft stands out, with greater contrast, Braille numbering and other elements that facilitate orientation on board and the creation of a service guide aimed at airport teams with recommendations and good practices to assist users depending on their disability and specific needs.
