As part of the 17th edition of FITURTECHY 2025, a section organised by FITUR and the Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero (ITH), which will be held between 22 and 24 January within the framework of FITUR, the section presents a new edition of TechYhotel. On this occasion, it will offer an immersive experience, with a tour of six thematic environments inspired by “The Thousand and One Nights”. This space, located in Pavilion 10B03 of IFEMA MADRID, will combine tradition and cutting-edge technology thanks to the participation of more than 40 leading companies in technological solutions and sustainability.

This showroom will concentrate on around 250 square metres of technological capabilities (AI, robotics, automation, hyper-personalisation, sustainability and advanced systems integration) that are redefining the hotel sector. Visitors will be able to make wishes to the genie, try out an exoskeleton, enjoy immersive virtual reality experiences, interact with avatars in real time or witness how robots and artificial intelligence (AI) are playing a leading role in the future of the hotel sector.

A space designed for the future

Designed by architect and interior designer Miguel Soler, the space integrates cutting-edge technology to transport visitors to an environment related to the world of adventure and fantasy from the tale of “The Thousand and One Nights”. The objective was to create a functional space that allows innovative applications of technology to be shown in a three-day pop-up format. In addition, Sabia Proyectos, experts in hotel theming, has provided the thematic touch to achieve a balanced fusion between technology and tradition.

The "Barro con Alma" signage, designed by ceramist Mayche Ayllón, president of the Llamada Solidaria Foundation, adds a human and sustainable element to the space. Made from recycled clay, it includes pictograms as an accessible and universal language, paying tribute to the victims of the Dana in Valencia.

An Immersive Experience: six thematic spaces

The TechYHotel showroom is designed around six thematic spaces under the title “The Thousand and One Journeys” and inspired by showcasing the key technological solutions that will mark the future of the sector guided by the technology of Navilens codes adapted from Ilunion.

The tour begins at the Technology Souk, a vibrant market where coexistence and collaboration between humans, robots and AI, necessary for the transformation and evolution of tourism, materialise. Robots and interactive avatars act as part of the hotel staff, while solutions such as Wipass revolutionise check-in and wearable devices such as Ray-Ban Meta glasses and EizyHotel.ai software simplify operational management through real-time artificial intelligence. This space also combines hyper-personalisation and sustainability, with innovations such as Pressreader's personalised digital library and Aguapars' mineralised water generators, which convert air humidity into drinking water, among other innovations that will be on display. The space also features the first eco-sustainable technological amenity created by the ITH Robotics Club, which allows guests to enter the digital world and enjoy a 360º stay.

At the Sultan's Palace, the comfort and well-being of staff and guests are the main focus. This area fuses ergonomics and sustainability with recycled textiles, ergonomic rest equipment and eco-sustainable solutions such as high-efficiency silent minibars or smartlockers by PERSEO by BTV. Visitors will also be surprised by the implementation of exoskeletons designed to prevent injuries and improve the posture of staff, showing how technology can humanise and improve working conditions in the hotel sector.

Innovation reaches a new level in Baghdad City, where robotics and automation become essential elements. Advanced robots from PUDU Robotics optimize cleaning and transport of goods, while a fully automated interactive bar offers a unique leisure experience. In addition, initiatives such as Wipass’ SUCO Sessions combine technology and well-being to offer moments of digital disconnection in this futuristic environment.

The Menara Garden offers a sustainable respite inspired by magical oases. Technology takes centre stage with electric vehicles, photovoltaic floors that generate clean energy and sustainable décor that includes vertical gardens and decorative panels made in Spain. This space symbolises the perfect balance between nature and innovation.

Health tourism and inclusion are reflected in El Mar de los Genios, a therapeutic space designed to stimulate the senses. In collaboration with the Llamada Solidaria Foundation, this multi-sensory area proposes new ways of integrating interactive materials and accessible technologies in hotels, guaranteeing relaxing environments adapted to people with special needs. ABSOTEC's eco-sustainable decorative sound-absorbing solutions stand out to guarantee healthy and relaxing spaces with a cutting-edge design.

Finally, magic becomes tangible at Ali Baba’s Cave, where interactive surfaces and advanced automation redefine the guest experience. “Open Sesame” voice access control and Signify’s magic mirrors are just some of the solutions this space brings to the table, while tourist accommodations have the opportunity to receive personalized technological diagnostics courtesy of the ITH Robotics Club and Uground AI.

With interactive activities such as exoskeleton testing, immersive experiences, AI, interaction with robots and real-time AI-generated robotic diagnostics, TechYHotel promises to captivate visitors and position itself, as in previous editions, as one of the major attractions of the International Tourism Fair held from January 22 to 26 at IFEMA MADRID. A unique opportunity to experience how technology is revolutionizing tourism and redefining the human experience within the framework of “The Thousand and One Journeys.”
