The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex has adopted a completely cashless system to offer visitors a simpler and safer experience. As of January 6, 2025, the complex no longer accepts cash at its retail outlets. For those who arrive with cash, the complex offers the option to convert it for free and easily to a prepaid Visa debit card at Cash-to-Card kiosks, strategically located throughout the Visitor Complex and the Apollo/Saturn V Center.

Visitors can also continue to make payments with credit cards, debit cards, or Apple Pay. This shift to a cashless system streamlines payment processes, increases security, and improves convenience, ensuring a more seamless and modern experience for all.

The Gantry at LC-39
Get ready for a unique experience with the opening in the first quarter of 2025 of The Gantry at LC-39. This innovative interactive attraction, which represents the observation gantry of Launch Complex 39, offers stunning 360° panoramic views of the active launch pads, NASA’s spaceport and the surrounding wildlife refuge.

The experience includes immersive exhibits such as the Earth Information Center, where visitors can explore how space technology provides a comprehensive view of planetary changes that impact all life on Earth. Another highlight is the Rocket Build Interactive, which allows visitors to design and launch virtual rockets, experiencing the thrill of space flight from a location with direct views of Kennedy Space Center’s working spaceports. The Gantry brings space exploration to life through a variety of exciting experiences, including a test-fire simulation, an interactive launch viewing area and a garden with hanging sculptures inspired by local wildlife. This destination promises to be a must-see for all space and technology enthusiasts.

Record Number of Launches Planned
With more than 80 space launches in 2024 and more than 100 scheduled for 2025, visitors have the unique opportunity to witness these exciting events from a prime location, such as LC-39. Additionally, exclusive packages offering optimal views and an unparalleled experience will be available for many of the launches.

Discover the Real Thing
Unlike other attractions, the resort offers a reality-based experience. Visitors can meet veteran astronauts at Chat With An Astronaut for a private, small-group Q&A session, or get autographs at The Space Shop and Shuttle Express. During Astronaut Meet and Greet in the Universe Theater, astronauts share exciting space stories in live performances daily, culminating in Q&A sessions.

Throughout the complex, visitors will marvel at historic and modern artifacts, including the Orion Exploration Flight Test-1 spacecraft, the SpaceX Cargo Dragon COTS-2, and the Falcon 9 rocket booster at Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex®. They will also be able to admire the awe-inspiring Space Shuttle Atlantis, the massive Saturn V rocket, the Apollo 14 crew capsule, and the iconic Rocket Garden. Historic spacesuits are also a highlight, including Alan Shepard’s moon dust-covered suit, located at the Apollo/Saturn V Center, and the suit worn by astronaut Michael López-Alegría during Axiom Mission 1, which complement the authentic visitor experience.
