Copa Airlines, a subsidiary of Copa Holdings, SA (NYSE: CPA) and member of the Star Alliance global airline network, received recognition from CIRIUM as the “Most Punctual Airline in Latin America” during a special ceremony held at its Maintenance Center, located at Tocumen International Airport. This achievement, achieved by the airline for 10 years, highlights its operational leadership with a punctuality rate in 2024 of 88.22%, the highest in the Americas and third worldwide.
During the event, Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines, highlighted the contribution of employees to this result. “Ten years of punctuality reflect the commitment, dedication and unwavering effort of our entire team. From airport staff, our technicians, operators and crews, to administrative support staff, each employee plays a key role in offering a safe and reliable service. Their perseverance and passion have always allowed us to overcome the challenges of a dynamic industry exposed to multiple factors. Reaching this milestone is a shared pride that we celebrate with gratitude and renewed commitment to our passengers,” said Heilbron.
As part of the ceremony, employees from different areas were recognized for their direct contribution to daily operations, highlighting their role in achieving this important milestone. Heilbron added: “They are the driving force behind these results, and their dedication is the foundation on which we build our service excellence. Punctuality is part of the DNA of our corporate culture.”
On the other hand, the report “The On-Time Performance (OTP)” for 2024, presented by CIRIUM, also highlighted the itinerary fulfillment factor of 98.73%, positioning Copa Airlines among the airlines with the fewest
cancellations on the continent.

To conclude the ceremony, a Boeing 737 aircraft with a commemorative design was unveiled, highlighting Copa Airlines' leadership in punctuality over the past decade. This aircraft, a symbol of the airline's constant commitment
to providing a safe and reliable service, will fly throughout the Americas, reaffirming its role as the connecting bridge for passengers throughout the region.
This recognition adds to the awards obtained by Copa Airlines in 2024, including the Webby Awards for ease of use and navigation for the user experience of its copa.com website, the Onboard Hospitality
Awards for its sugarcane bagasse cups with EarthCoating coating, contributing to caring for the environment, and for the ninth consecutive year, the recognition by Skytrax as the best airline in Central America and the Caribbean.
