Arajet, the leading Dominican airline, announced the opening of ticket sales for its new direct routes connecting the Dominican Republic with Puerto Rico, Santo Domingo-San Juan and Punta Cana-San Juan with prices starting at $84 per trip with taxes included.

The announcement was made through social media and in a joint statement between Arajet, the Government of Puerto Rico, the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, and the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, institutions
that have joined forces in a strategy to improve air connectivity between both countries, as well as with the rest of the world.

The first Arajet flight to the capital of Puerto Rico will reportedly take place on June 4 from Santo Domingo, followed by the first flight from Punta Cana on June 6 of this year.

According to Arajet CEO and Founder, Victor Pacheco Mendez, connecting Dominicans with their Puerto Rican brothers four times a week will be historic and transcendental for bilateral relations, tourism and the diaspora. He also
highlighted that Arajet's arrival in Puerto Rico is thanks to the entry into force of the Open Skies Treaty between the United States and the Dominican Republic, and to the support of Puerto Rican authorities, especially its governor Jenniffer González Colón.

“The operations of Arajet airline between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico represent an estimated economic impact of around $10.4 million and will boost the arrival of more international visitors, adding around 58 thousand additional seats to the current inventory in our market.

For the Government of Puerto Rico, it is a priority to provide support to all airlines that allow us to strengthen the island's air connectivity and improve market competitiveness, and we are determined to continue working
hand in hand with the Dominican Republic to exponentially grow our tourism together," said Governor González Colón.

For her part, the executive director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, Willianette Robles Cancel, said, “We are very pleased with the arrival of Arajet to Puerto Rico, since the new direct routes between San
Juan and the airports of Santo Domingo and Punta Cana make the Caribbean region even more attractive and affordable, while facilitating the development of multi-destination packages and products, and increasing the benefits that the
tourism industry produces for both Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Our commitment at the Tourism Company is to serve as a representative of the Government of Puerto Rico in these types of negotiations, which
allow us to continue strengthening the upward pace of passenger traffic in all of the Island’s airports.”

Arajet, to welcome its new destination, San Juan, Puerto Rico, as part of its extensive network, has prepared a “VAMOPAPR” promotion; valid from February 17 to February 28, offering its users a
30% discount, so that everyone who wishes to fly to and from San Juan can do so from June to March 28, 2026.

Initially, the airline will offer Puerto Ricans the opportunity to connect with 11 destinations in its network through its two hubs in Santo Domingo and Punta Cana; they will be able to make connections with Aruba, Costa
Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and Peru.

Flights to San Juan will have two weekly frequencies from and to Santo Domingo and four frequencies from and to Punta Cana, on the indicated dates.

Let us remember that Arajet has maintained its development in the region, moving more than 1.2 million passengers in 2024 alone, and projects that with the entry of the United States, this figure will increase to 1.7 in 2025. There are already 25 destinations
available throughout the continent, so they expect to receive 3 new Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft to increase their fleet to 13 state-of-the-art aircraft with the highest efficiency on the market.
