Among the events organized is the “Carnival of Lights and Colors” that will take place on Monday, March 3 with a grand parade that will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Luis Cordero Street, proceed along Amazonas Avenue, until reaching 18 de septiembre street. During the parade, the public will be entertained by the presence of floats, chivas from Quito, artistic groups, town bands, characters with glow, LED and neon costumes, stilt walkers, walkers, giant light structures and dancers.
The Carnival of Lights and Colors also includes an artistic show in El Arbolito Park, on Monday, March 3, starting at 6:30 p.m., with the presentation of David Benítez and his Orchestra, Tropical Swing and La Sonora Dinamita, who will get all attendees dancing.
In addition, in rural areas you can enjoy the Amaguaña Carnival 2025, which has organized several events for this holiday:
“Pregón de las luces” will take place on February 22, at 5:00 p.m. There will be a parade that will start on Cristobal Colón Street and will continue to the Plaza de las Ritualidades, where a concert will be held.
“Corso Nocturno” on Saturday 1st March, from 4:00 pm. Carnival celebration with a colour parade and the participation of educational establishments, dance, music and party.
“Flower and Colour Parade” on Sunday 2nd March from 12:00. The parade will start from the Amaguaña Parish GAD and the public will be able to enjoy floats, murga and batucada. The event will close with a concert in the Plaza de las Ritualidades.

The 2024 Carnival attracted nearly 93,000 visitors, generating an economic impact of approximately 12.4 million dollars in sales for tourist establishments. In 2025, Quito is once again preparing to welcome national and foreign visitors with an agenda full of color and tradition.
