Since 2003, Alagev has acted as a multisector hub, fostering connections, benchmarking and training for professionals in the sector.
The event features a diverse program, including lectures, panels and exhibitions, providing participants with an environment conducive to qualified networking and generating new business.
The Importance of New York for the Events Market
Among the exhibitors at Lacte20 is Jerry Cito, Executive Vice President of Convention Development at New York City Tourism, represented in Brazil by Danielle Roman, CEO of Interamerican Network. Cito highlighted the relevance of New York as a top destination for corporate and incentive events.
“New York continues to reinvent itself in many ways, and we want to make sure our partners know that we are committed to attracting business events to the city,” he said. According to him, the demand for events in the Latin American market in the city has grown significantly, both in the leisure and corporate segments. “We want to continue investing in this market to make sure our clients know that we value their business.”
Cost and Return on Investment for Events in the Big Apple
Regarding the costs of holding events in New York, Cito emphasized that the city offers options for different budgets. "New York has different price ranges. It is possible to organize high-end experiences or more affordable events, depending on the period and the needs of the organizers," he explained.
He also compared the city to other destinations, highlighting that return on investment is a key factor. “Events in New York have a history of record attendance because people want to be here. This ensures a high level of engagement and networking.”
Infrastructure and Economic Impact
Another point raised was the city's infrastructure for conventions. Although the Javits Center is one of the busiest in the United States, New York has several options, including spaces inside large hotels, which allow for events of different sizes.
"Our convention center may not be the largest in the country, but it is one of the busiest in terms of events. In addition, New York hotels offer versatile spaces for small to large events," Cito said.
He also stressed the importance of the events sector to the city's economy. "Business events and conventions are essential for New York. They help fill economic gaps and drive the city's continued development."
Expectations for Lacte20
With a robust program and the presence of renowned experts, the 20th edition of Lacte promises to consolidate itself as one of the main events in the events and corporate travel sector in Latin America. The presence of representatives from international destinations, such as New York, reinforces the relevance of the Latin American market for the global events sector.
The event runs until February 25, offering participants the opportunity to explore trends, establish new partnerships and expand their knowledge in the events and corporate travel segment.
