As part of this event, Travel2latam spoke with Patrick Ivars, Director of Sales for Visit Orlando in Latin America, along with Elaine Blazys, Vice President of Sales and Operations for the destination.

What are your expectations for your participation in ANATO?

For us, Colombia is a key market, being the third most important in Latin America. ANATO is the most important event of the year in the country, so we consider our participation to be fundamental. We have great expectations for the visitor data that will be published in May and that will reflect the evolution of the market.

In this edition, we continue to promote the Orlando Travel Academy, a key resource for travel agents. With new modules available, it is an excellent opportunity for professionals in the sector to become certified as Orlando sales specialists. In addition, this certification allows them to access exclusive benefits when visiting the destination.

Of course, we know that one of the main concerns of visitors is to know what's new. This year, the big news is Epic Universe, Universal's long-awaited expansion, among many other attractions and experiences that are being added to Orlando's offering.

The year has just begun. What goals have you set?

From the Sales Department, we continue to invest in ongoing training. We conduct both in-person training in different markets and virtual events, seeking to expand knowledge about the destination among tourism professionals.

This year, an important part of our strategy is to expand our presence in other markets in the region, such as Peru and Chile, thus strengthening Orlando's connection with all of Latin America.
