Puerto Vallarta, as part of the Jalisco delegation, concluded its participation in the 44th edition of the Vitrina Turística fair, organized by the Colombian Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies (ANATO), with more than 500 business meetings with airlines, wholesale travel agencies, tour operators, hoteliers, media outlets and content generators.

The destination's presence shone in Colombian cities such as Cali, Medellín and Bogotá, where the delegation from the State Government's Tourism Secretariat highlighted the infrastructure, connectivity and top-level offering in established destinations such as Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara, as well as in emerging destinations such as Costalegre and the 12 Magical Towns of Jalisco.

With the aim of increasing the flow of tourists in the state and in accordance with the instructions of Mauro Garza Marín, General Coordinator of Economic Growth and Development, and Michelle Fridman Hirsch, Secretary of Tourism, representatives of the state agency and the four promotion trusts of Jalisco held these business meetings.

The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust had a large participation, accompanied by the hotels Canto del Sol, Delfín, Grand Miramar, Puerto de Luna, Almar and its beach clubs Mantamar and Eden, as well as the receptive tour operator Mexima Tours (DMC). It is worth mentioning that the inauguration of the Jalisco stand at the Vitrina Turística fair was done with the presence of the Mexican ambassador in Colombia, Martha Patricia Ruiz Anchondo.

On the first day, held on February 24 in Medellin, 28 Colombian wholesale travel agencies such as Planet Travel, JS, Marstravel, Grupo VDT and Go Travel, participated in the business meeting that took place at the Mexican restaurant Mistura.

The second session was held in Cali, where the Mexican restaurant Suspiro hosted the meeting between the Jalisco delegation and 33 agencies and generators of tourist experiences. Among the agencies present were Verde Aventura, Aliados Travel, Octopus, BCD Travel and BM Representaciones.

The third day was held at the Punto Baja restaurant in Bogotá, attended by 28 guests from the most prominent tourism companies in the country's capital. Some of those present were Portal Turístico, Pelícanos, The Travel Planet, Ascenso Viajes, Avianca, CIC Bogotá and Viajes LYM.

On Friday, February 28, the Jalisco delegation held a meeting with 40 media outlets and content creators, carrying out an activation with more than 20 mariachis and a tequila tasting. During the weekend, activations were held in Bogotá, with an estimated attendance of 4,000 people.

With two weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays by Viva airline between Guadalajara and Bogotá, the Jalisco delegation promoted circuit trips in the State, highlighting the great mobility that exists, now even better with the new stretch of highway between Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta with which both destinations are only 3 hours away from each other.

Colombians showed particular interest in the destination's great competitive advantages for meeting tourism, incentive trips - even carrying out some group room blocks - as well as international sporting events held in Puerto Vallarta.

The Colombian market is the third fastest growing market in Mexico after the United States and Canada. With these actions, Puerto Vallarta is seeking opportunities for direct connections to strengthen its connectivity, promote existing connections via Guadalajara and Mexico City, attract groups to the destination and complement the seasonality of demand during Colombia's holiday months.
