Without a doubt, one of the unmissable experiences offered by the Seaport Sealand agency is a visit to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Just 20 minutes from downtown Ushuaia, it is the southernmost protected area in Argentina and stands out for its biodiversity and impressive geography, where the Andes Mountains meet the sea in the Beagle Channel, creating an unforgettable landscape.

The excursion begins by travelling along National Route No. 3, crossing the Pipo River Valley and the foothills of Monte Susana, where the station of the Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino, better known as the Train of the End of the World, is located. This area was once a work area for prisoners from the old Ushuaia Prison. There, tourists can embark on a 45-minute ride aboard one of the few steam trains in the world that operates every day. This experience allows them to delve into the city's past, learning about the hard routine of the prisoners who came to these forests to cut wood. The journey offers privileged views of the winding Pipo River, the impressive La Macarena waterfall, the enigmatic tree cemetery and the majestic lenga forest. In addition, the steam locomotives and elegant carriages, with large windows, are equipped with audio systems in seven languages, allowing you to immerse yourself in the history and nature of the place.

After the ride on the End of the World Train, visitors can walk along interpretive trails in the recreational area, depending on the route chosen by the guide, taking into account the flow of people and buses. Among the most notable stops is Lapataia Bay and its viewpoint, where the sign marking the end of the Pan-American Highway is located. From there, the coast can be easily accessed via long wooden walkways, accompanied by signs that provide information about the Yaganes, the indigenous people who inhabited the region. Another attraction is Lake Acigami, which invites visitors to relax on its shores and enjoy the tranquility of its waters. There is also Ensenada Bay, surrounded by lush Magellanic forests. This impressive landscape houses the emblematic post office, known as the Post Office at the End of the World.

To close a morning of exploration, tourists can enjoy lunch at "Casa Espíritu Fueguino," located in the El Mirador neighborhood, just a few minutes from downtown Ushuaia. This gastronomic experience, available year-round, offers two options: a classic fondue, where the chef takes care of all the preparation, or an Argentine barbecue, where visitors can participate in the cooking process from the beginning. Regardless of the choice, the house offers an exceptional panoramic view of the Beagle Channel, making the experience the perfect ending to a day of adventure.
