Through the National Institute for Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR), Argentina carried out an auspicious work at ITB Berlin 2025, one of the largest fairs in the world and the most important in Germany, from March 4 to 6 of this year.
Over the course of three intense days, the national delegation, which included the presence of the Argentine Ambassador to Germany, Fernando Brun, and outstanding support from the Embassy team, displayed the country's entire tourist offer in one of the main markets in Europe and the world.
It is worth noting that Germany is the third European market in the ranking of arrivals to our country, with 116 thousand arrivals in 2024 (+9.6% compared to 2023). For this reason, and due to the large presence of destinations and companies from the world tourism sector, Argentine participation became vital in order to increase the national incoming market.
The INPROTUR team was accompanied by 13 national destinations and 20 private sector companies. In total, more than 1,700 work meetings were held. Nature, the great landscapes of our territory and hospitality were the aspects most highlighted by the local trade, which showed enthusiasm for the Argentine offer.
It is also important to mention that the province of Tucumán, a key destination in the northern region, successfully held a working breakfast at the Argentine Embassy in Berlin for important players in the German tourism sector with the aim of promoting not only the options in Tucumán, but also those of the entire northern region of Argentina. This region of the country stands out for its traditional cuisine - empanadas, locro and tamales, among other products -, its festivities, its colours and the legacy of the native peoples.
