Improvement of travel experience at airports of Latin America and the Caribbean

According to an ACI-LAC report, the region ranks third globally in terms of improved passenger satisfaction, increasing from 4.19 in 2023 to 4.23 in 2024

Airports Council International for Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC) announced significant improvements in passenger satisfaction across the region, as highlighted in the recently published ACI ASQ 2024 Annual Barometer.

"Latin American and Caribbean airports have demonstrated resilience and dedication in adapting to post-pandemic demands," said Dr. Rafael Echevarne, Director General of ACI-LAC. "Our region is committed to meeting changing passenger expectations, especially in areas such as comfort, well-being, and sustainability."

The ASQ Program, recognized for its rigorous methodology, is unique in the aviation industry. It conducts real-time research through surveys administered directly to travelers, capturing satisfaction levels across more than 30 performance indicators.

The airports recognized for offering exceptional passenger experiences across various traffic categories are:

Best ASQ Airports 2024 in Latin America and the Caribbean:

Carrasco International Airport (MVD) – Best airport with less than 2 million passengers
Hermosillo International Airport (HMO) – Best airport from 2 to 5 million passengers
Guanajuato International Airport (BJX) – Best airport from 2 to 5 million passengers
Chihuahua International Airport (CUU) – Best airport with less than 2 million passengers 
Mazatlán International Airport (MZT) – Best airport with less than 2 million passengers
Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) – Best airport from 2 to 5 million passengers
Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) – Best airport from 5 to 15 million passengers
Monterrey International Airport (MTY) – Best airport from 5 to 15 million passengers
Quito International Airport (UIO) – Best airport from 5 to 15 million passengers
Guadalajara International Airport (GDL) – Best airport from 15 to 25 million passengers
