The Quito stand was part of the Ecuadorian Ministry of Tourism's space, allowing for greater promotion of the country as a tourist destination from a comprehensive perspective. During the event, the Quito Tourism delegation held 25 meetings with representatives of travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, and specialized media outlets, highlighting the city's wealth of tourist attractions and opening up opportunities for collaboration to attract more visitors.
Quito Tourism also promoted its zero-carbon hotel offerings, in line with the recognition granted to the Pichincha Provincial Chamber of Tourism (CAPTUR) at the ASICOTUR awards. Hotels participating in the award-winning Hotel Sector Decarbonization project have implemented improvements in power generation, waste management, efficient water use, and community relations.
Participation in ITB Berlin showcased Quito's diverse tourism offerings and its attractions in nature, ecotourism, adventure, culture, gastronomy, business, wellness, shopping, and scientific tourism. Quito Turismo implemented a strategic agenda to strengthen public relations and convey key messages about sustainability and the city's tourism potential.
Participation in this international fair represented a key opportunity to strengthen Quito's image on the global stage and generate new commercial opportunities for Ecuador's capital.
