Becoming the first meeting point for industry professionals, the event broke paradigms and brought together more than two thousand professionals from the events and experience marketing industry in just two days, as well as twenty-one internationally renowned speakers, highly recognized as innovators, leaders, and disruptors in the field. Among them are Terry Gutiérrez of Tesla, Enrique Quintana of El Financiero, Alejandro Escalante of Paralelo Meetings, Bernardo Noval of Moment Lab, Ricardo Oviedo of Agencia Boxer TTL, a partner of AMAPRO, Marcela Torres of PCMA LATAM, Engel Fonseca of Pottential Group, Rosa María Gardea of AVE, Fernando Famanía of ifahto, among others. In addition, more than 60 brands presented themselves through immersive experiences and activations to share firsthand the trends, tools, and technologies that are revolutionizing the industry not only in Mexico but throughout Latin America.
According to David Hidalgo, CEO and co-founder of Capital Meetings : “The industry is evolving, and the region must do so as well. The event was born in response to the need to innovate in the face of increasingly demanding, inspiring, and evolving participants. Mexico City is precisely where the major players in the sector converge, and that is why we have taken the first step toward creating a new history and investing in the development and future of the country.”
The event, promoted for the first time in Mexico by Tree Alliance, marked a milestone for the future of the industry by creating the first space of its kind in Mexico City. Through its more than 20 conferences and eight workshops, Capital Meetings redefined the way brands connect with their audiences, create business models, design experiences, and foster creativity.
Technology isn't the future, it's the industry's present. In Quantum Shift: Innovating in the Age of AI, Fernando Anzures, CEO of Exma Global, warned that the events sector is facing a radical transformation. With the arrival of AI agents that will optimize organizations and results, the challenge will not only be adopting technology, but also building cohesive and adaptable teams. In a constantly changing world, those who master AI will lead the next decade.
For his part, Engel Fonseca of Potential Group shook up the stage with "Events of the Future: How Technology Will Redefine the Industry by 2030." With a disruptive vision, he made it clear that the events of tomorrow will not be like those of yesterday. "The key is synthesis and strategy ," he stated, emphasizing that traditional meetings are destined to evolve or disappear. It's not just about technology, but about giving meaning to each experience to connect with an audience that demands instant innovation. Looking ahead to 2030, his message was forceful: the future belongs to those who transform the conventional into memorable experiences.
In "The Power of the Communications Industry," experts Rosa María Gardea, Carlos Chávez, and Javier Macías revealed shocking figures: every dollar invested in communications can generate up to $20.29 in GDP and increase sales by 29%. More than a strategy, they agreed that communication is a key asset for opening markets, boosting business, and positioning values, innovation, and diversity. "Those who don't communicate don't grow, " the experts agreed.
Leadership was presented as another of the event's guiding principles, as emphasized by Terry Gutiérrez, Country Manager of Tesla Mexico, in his presentation, "Leadership in Transition: Mastering the Traditional and the Digital," which addressed the importance of management for positive impact and connection with audiences at all levels. Everything requires a purpose, a how, and intuition to work intelligently and effectively.
In "Start from the Bottom," entrepreneur and filmmaker Carlos Morett sent a clear message: investing in yourself is the first step to success. To drive any dream, industry, or business forward, the key is confidence, teamwork, and a clear direction. Later, in "Let the Truth Not Duela," Lolita Cortés and Arturo López Gavito sparked a debate about motivation and leadership. With their signature energy, they emphasized that failure is not the end, but rather the driving force of learning and innovation. In a world where challenges are constant, they agreed that great leaders are those who turn setbacks into opportunities.
Capital Meetings also featured a showcase where eight startups, including Octopy, Chalan AI, Moment Lab, and others, showcased their ideas and transformations for the meetings industry in front of various experts. During the event, Top Events was launched, a competition that seeks to recognize the most outstanding events with the greatest socioeconomic impact in the Megalopolis, comprised of Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Querétaro, Puebla, Hidalgo, Morelos, Guanajuato, and Tlaxcala. Additionally, Capital Challenge was presented, a platform that will recognize the three best event designers and help them bring their projects to life by entering an incubator that will develop them. Both launches will open their calls for applications for the 2026 edition.
In closing, Pedro López Chaltelt, co-founder of Capital Meetings, emphasized: “Mexico and LATAM have the capacity to lead the transformation and become global leaders in the industry. Capital Meetings will continue to drive this innovation and creativity to catapult the next great leaders in the sector and discover the new trends that will shape the future of the industry in the Megalopolis . ”
