Santo Domingo. – Arajet, the Dominican airline, held the first
international edition of its social responsibility program, "My First Flight," with the
goal of offering those who have never flown before the opportunity
to fly and experience other countries and cultures.
In this first international delivery, the airline offered the opportunity to the
Garrido family, from Chile, who visited the Dominican Republic and experienced
and enjoyed Punta Cana and Santo Domingo, along with their many tourist and
cultural attractions.
The Garrido family's selection was the result of a conversation between
Mr. Anthony Garrido, who works in the tourist transportation sector in his country, and Víctor
Pacheco, CEO and founder of Arajet. Upon hearing his story, Pacheco invited him and
his family to experience flying Arajet for the first time and discover the
Dominican Republic.
Victor Pacheco Mendez indicated that this initiative is part of the airline's mission, and that
it will continue to expand it to all the destinations where it operates. He also stated,
"Since our beginnings at Arajet, we have been committed to democratizing the continent's skies
, giving everyone the opportunity to fulfill their dreams of travel, without
distinction."
For his part, Anthony Garrido and his family thanked Arajet and all the parties
involved for making his family's dream a reality. "With Arajet, dreams come
true; we are happy to visit the Dominican Republic. It's a beautiful country,
amazed by its history and beauty. We will always be very grateful to Arajet,"
Garrido said.
This Arajet initiative was supported by the Ministry of Tourism and the
Hodelpa hotel chain, which together made the experience memorable for the
Garrido family in this first international edition of the social responsibility program
"My First Flight."
