Committed to providing greater connectivity and access to air travel, Avianca is offering its customers two new connection options for flights to and from Costa Rica. This is how it began operating the San José-Miami and San José-San Juan routes

, which will allow more travelers to efficiently connect with key destinations in the United States and the Caribbean, facilitating new opportunities for cultural, commercial, and tourism exchange. Starting today, Avianca operates three weekly flights between Juan Santamaría International Airport and Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan. This connection provides travelers with 1,080 weekly seats, improves accessibility for Costa Ricans to Puerto Rico, and strengthens the ties between the two destinations.

Avianca also began operating its San José-Miami route, offering 2,520 seats with a daily frequency. This connection strengthens the airline's presence in the region and responds to the growing travel demand between Costa Rica and South Florida, providing an efficient and comfortable alternative for passengers.

"After a successful 2024, in which we consolidated the most solid network in our history and transported the highest number of passengers in our 105 years, we are excited to continue expanding our direct route offering in a key market like Costa Rica. Our goal is to continue bringing our travelers closer to their dream destinations," said Rolando Damas, Avianca's Director of Sales for North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.

William Rodríguez, Minister of Tourism, stated: "These new direct routes strengthen Costa Rica's connectivity with the Caribbean and the United States. The new connection between San José and San Juan, Puerto Rico, will facilitate the arrival of Puerto Rican tourists. Likewise, the expansion to a daily flight between San José and Miami, with 3,600 weekly seats, strengthens Costa Rica's air connectivity with our main market."

More options for traveling to the United States.
Avianca will also strengthen its operations with new direct routes from Medellín to Fort Lauderdale and from Bogotá to Tampa, expanding its flight offering to the United States and providing more options for travelers.

Tickets for these new routes are now available through Avianca's official channels: avianca.com, the mobile app, physical points of sale, and travel agencies.

With these new routes, Avianca reaffirms its commitment to air connectivity in the Americas, offering more travel options with an efficient, flexible, and accessible experience for all its passengers.
