The Dominican Republic's Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) announces the third edition of its successful Trade Show, which will take place from April 2 to 4, 2025, at the JW Marriott Marquis in Miami.

This event marks the close of the winter season and kicks off the strategic planning for the tourism year, serving as a launching pad for the country's new goals and partnerships in the international market.

The annual meeting seeks to consolidate the country's presence in the American continent's tourism market and foster new business opportunities through a strategy focused on building loyalty with tour operators and travel agents.

In its 2024 edition, the event brought together 594 tourism industry professionals from across the Americas, including travel agents, tour operators, airlines, and media representatives. A total of 993 business meetings were held with 70 Dominican co-exhibitors.

For this third edition, these figures are expected to be significantly surpassed, with 602 total participants, 90 co-exhibitors, and 1,157 confirmed appointments to date, consolidating the Trade Show as a key platform for commercial exchange and destination promotion.

As part of the MITUR team, all the directors of the Tourism Promotion Offices (TPOs) established in the main cities of the American continent will participate, thus strengthening the institutional presence and commercial support with strategic partners in each market.
The opening day will be held on Wednesday, April 2, at 9:00 a.m., with an official ceremony led by the Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, David Collado.

Over the three days, attendees will be able to participate in business roundtables, launches of new hotels and tourist destinations, presentations of investment projects and air routes, specialized training sessions by market niche, and the signing of cooperation agreements with tour operators and airlines.

Specifically, the signing of new agreements is expected to contribute to attracting more than 500,000 tourists to the country, stimulating an approximate hotel investment of US$1.3 billion, of which US$274 million will correspond to new developments. The total impact of the agreement signings is estimated at 4,425 new rooms, 3,375 additional flights, more than 33,000 new jobs, and an additional US$910 million in contributions to the national GDP. Furthermore, net foreign exchange earnings are expected to increase by US$332 million, representing a 7% increase in local food consumption and a 4% increase in the tourism sector's GDP.

The participation of key institutions such as the National Association of Hotels and Tourism (ASONAHORES), along with representatives from airlines, cruise lines, and other strategic players in the sector, will further enrich this space for collaboration and innovation.

Among the more than 90 co-exhibitors that will meet at this event are renowned hotel chains and tourism groups, such as:
AC Marriott Punta Cana, AIC Hotel Group, AMANERA, Bahia Principe Hotels, Barceló Hotels, Catalonia Hoteles, Coral Hospitality Corp, EXCELLENCE RESORTS, Hodelpa Hotels & Resorts, and Impressive Resorts & Spas.

Also, Lifestyle Holidays, Lopesan Costa Bávaro, Majestic Resorts, Meliá Hotels, Ocean Hotels, Palladium Hotel Group, Playa Resorts, Puntacana Resort, Serenade Punta Cana, The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort, Casa de Campo, Viva by Wyndham, Club Med, Marriott Miches Beach, Blue Diamond, Iberostar Hotels, Eden Roc, among others.

The third edition of the Trade Show reaffirms the Dominican Republic's leadership as a tourist destination in the Caribbean and its commitment to sustainable development, foreign investment, and the continued expansion of its tourism industry.
