With the launch of the Bogotá-Tampa and Medellín-Fort Lauderdale routes, Avianca continues to expand its offerings to provide more travelers with direct connections to and from the United States.
The new routes are operated on Airbus A320 family aircraft, with capacity for 180 passengers, offering four weekly frequencies and 1,440 seats on the Bogotá-Tampa route, while the Medellín-Fort Lauderdale route has one daily frequency and 2,520 weekly seats.
"Last year, we transported more than 38 million passengers to domestic and international destinations, while consolidating the largest route network in our history. Now, by 2025, we want to continue providing greater access and connectivity to our customers. That's why, with the launch of these two new connections, we now have 19 direct routes connecting Colombia with the United States, allowing millions of travelers abroad to experience 'The Land of Beauty' and also allowing millions of Colombians and Latin Americans to connect with the United States," said Frederico Pedreira, CEO of Avianca.
