From April 7 to 10, CLIA will be present at Seatrade Cruise Global 2025, which celebrates its 40 years as the main international event for the cruise industry, bringing together in Miami business leaders, shipping companies, port and government authorities, suppliers and entities such as the Cruise Lines International Association and its offices around the world.
With a strategic agenda focused on strengthening cruises in Brazil and South America, Marco Ferraz, president of CLIA in Brazil and South America, will lead a series of meetings at the association's stand with shipping companies and delegations from several countries in the region. Among those present will be Adrian Ursilli (General Director of MSC Cruises in Brazil), Dario Rustico (Executive President of Costa Cruises for the Americas) and Mario Franco (Director of Royal Caribbean in Brazil). The agenda will include topics such as operations, costs, infrastructure, regulation and the expansion of itineraries.
Ferraz will also be with the Brazilian delegation at the Embratur stand, which is attending the fair for the third consecutive time. The Brazilian stand will feature dozens of co-exhibitors, as well as the participation of authorities, representatives of tourist destinations and port terminals.
One of the highlights of the program will be the technical visit organized by CLIA to the new MSC Cruises Passenger Terminal in Miami, which will be inaugurated during the event. The visit will be attended by representatives from Brazil, Chile, Uruguay and Argentina, as well as managers of tourist destinations, ports, Brazilian authorities and port operators. Confirmed attendees include the Minister of Tourism of Uruguay, Pablo Menoni, and the National Secretary of Tourism of Argentina, Daniel Scioli.
“Seatrade is a unique opportunity to bring together, in one place, so many people who are fundamental to the present and future of the cruise industry in Brazil and South America. It is a global event, full of trends, networking and insights, which allows us to advance essential debates for the sustainable growth of the sector. In addition, it provides a true immersion for participants, with emphasis on the technical visits that we promote. This year, we will visit the MSC terminal, and in previous editions, we have already organized visits to the Carnival and Royal Caribbean terminals”, highlights Marco Ferraz, president of CLIA in Brazil and South America.
