Buenos Aires, April 3, 2025 - Copa Airlines {NYSE: CPA}, a subsidiary of Copa Holdings, SA and a member of the global airline network Star Alliance, announces that, starting in September 2025, it will begin operations to Tucumán and resume flights to Salta, expanding its presence in northwestern Argentina. With the addition of these routes, the airline expands its network to six destinations in the southern country, joining Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Rosario, and Mendoza.

"We remain steadfast in our commitment to shortening distances and facilitating connections, allowing Panama to continue being the bridge that unites thousands of people across the continent, while contributing to the economic development of the communities where we operate. The expansion of the destination network in Argentina not only promotes cultural exchange in the region, but also strengthens tourism and business between our countries," said Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines.

Tucumán: History, nature, and culture in northwestern Argentina.

Tucumán is a historic province, home to the signing of Argentina's independence. It is a gateway to the Calchaquí Valleys, a region of stunning mountain landscapes and picturesque towns like Tafí del Valle, offering outdoor activities like hiking and horseback riding. The province is also known for its vibrant culinary scene, featuring traditional empanadas from Tucumán, considered among the best in the country.
"The launch of air operations by such an important and prestigious international airline as COPA, ranked among the best in Central America and the Caribbean, is a major contribution to the productive, scientific, industrial, and tourism development of the province of Tucumán. It is truly an honor to have made this project a reality after extensive negotiations. The connection with Panama will open the doors to the American continent, generating opportunities for development and commercial, tourism, and cultural exchange. Without a doubt, with our commitment to working together, we will make this addition of international flights a resounding success and the starting point for great opportunities for all the people of Tucumán," said the Governor of the Province of Tucumán, CPN Osvaldo Jaldo.

Starting September 24, 2025, Copa Airlines will begin operating this new route with three weekly flights, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. The flight will depart from Tocumen International Airport in Panama City at 4:35 p.m. (local time), arriving at Teniente Benjamín Matienzo International Airport in Tucumán at 12:34 a.m. (local time). The return flight will depart from Tucumán on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 1:50 a.m. (local time), landing in Panama City at 5:35 a.m. (local time).
Salta: Landscapes, traditions, and one of the highest train routes in the world.

Located in northern Argentina, Salta, known as "Salta la Linda," is famous for its well-preserved colonial center. One of its main attractions is the Train to the Clouds, which travels over 4,000 meters above sea level through the Andes Mountains, offering spectacular views of mountain landscapes and valleys. It is also an access point to the Quebrada de San Lorenzo, ideal for ecotourism, and to the Cafayate wine region, renowned for its production of the exclusive Torrontés wine.
"For the first time in history, Salta will have four international air routes. Today we are proud to add the Salta - Panama flight with Copa Airlines. This is not just another connection, it is a gateway to international tourism, to the development of our province and the union of our people; a unique and historic opportunity for our Salta. Adding connectivity is key for our province, to boost our tourist destination, generating employment and development. We continue to invest in tourism, in the development of Salta and demonstrating that we have the potential that northern Argentina needs to be the gateway to Argentina," said the Governor of the Province of Salta, Dr. Gustavo Sáenz.
Starting September 23, 2025, Copa Airlines will resume its flights to Salta, offering three weekly frequencies, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
