Bogotá, Colombia. April 2025. The Aruba Convention Bureau (ACB) continued to consolidate its position in the MICE segment in Colombia with a strategic agenda of activities held in Medellín and Bogotá from March 24 to 28. With the support of the Radisson Blu and Hilton hotels, as well as tour operators De Palm Tours and ECO Destination, the island continues to strengthen its role as a key destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, and events.

The ACB team, comprised of Jerusha Rasmijn, Luisa Arcila, and Claudia Delgado, sales representative in Colombia, along with Aruba's strategic partners, led a series of strategic visits to leading travel agencies in Medellín to showcase Aruba's advantages for meetings and incentive tourism. During these meetings, the island's first-class hotel infrastructure, air connectivity with Colombia, and its versatility for hosting high-impact corporate events and conferences were highlighted.

In addition to the personalized visits, ACB participated in an exclusive event that brought together Medellín's most influential travel agents. This opportunity allowed Aruba to strengthen its relationship with the local trade and provide detailed information on Aruba's specialized services in the MICE sector. During the event, attendees were able to learn firsthand about the opportunities the island offers for event planning, as well as the value-added options Aruba offers to incentive travel and conference organizers.

The tour continued in Bogotá, where the strategy was replicated with personalized meetings at travel agencies specializing in the MICE segment. The Colombian capital represents a key market for Aruba, given the high demand for exclusive destinations for corporate events and incentive trips.

In Bogotá, the ACB team participated in an exclusive event with leading industry players, where they showcased Aruba's competitive advantages, highlighting its luxury hotel offerings, event spaces, unique experiences, and ideal activities for corporate groups. ACB also delved into the support it provides to event organizers and companies interested in bringing their conferences and incentives to the island, offering customized solutions and access to exclusive benefits.

Aruba has established itself as one of the most attractive destinations for the MICE segment in the region, thanks to its combination of connectivity, high-quality infrastructure, and a diverse offering of experiences for business travelers and incentive groups. The island boasts a wide variety of hotels and resorts with convention centers and event venues, as well as multiple activities that can complement the experience of a corporate event, such as private dinners on the beach, water sports, and exclusive tours.

Through these actions, ACB strengthens its commitment to the Colombian market, promoting the destination among key players in the MICE sector and providing key tools for local trade to promote Aruba as the best option for corporate meetings and events.

With a strategy focused on the growth and consolidation of the MICE segment, the Aruba Convention Bureau will continue working hand in hand with the Colombian trade association to strengthen its position and continue attracting high-level events to the island.
