MSC Cruises’ newest flagship, MSC World America, arrived today in Miami, marking an exciting new chapter for North American cruising. As the Line’s first World Class ship to sail from the U.S., MSC World America is set to usher in a new world of cruising with next-generation features, world class amenities and MSC Cruises’ signature blend of European style combined with American comfort.
Ahead of her inaugural sailing, MSC World America will be officially named on April 9 in a glamorous, star-studded ceremony at the new MSC Miami Cruise Terminal, followed by a 2-night sailing to Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. This special event will celebrate the ship’s debut before she embarks on her first season to the Caribbean.
Kicking off her inaugural season on April 12, 2025, MSC World America will sail from PortMiami on seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, with stops in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; and Isla de Roatán, Honduras—each sailing featuring a visit to the breathtaking Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. Guests will enjoy an unparalleled cruise experience that blends innovative design, world-class entertainment, and cutting-edge sustainability features.
MSC World America’s arrival also coincides with the ribbon cutting of the MSC Miami Cruise Terminal at PortMiami, the world’s largest and most advanced cruise terminal. Designed by Arquitectonica and built by Fincantieri Infrastructure, the 492,678-square-foot facility sets a new standard in cruise infrastructure. It is the first in the industry to implement a complete biometric journey with digital identity verification, allowing passengers to check in online, drop off luggage seamlessly, and pass through advanced facial recognition for a frictionless boarding process. The terminal also boasts a six-level garage with over 2,400 parking spaces, dedicated waiting areas, and an exclusive MSC Yacht Club private lounge for luxury travelers.
