The National Tourism Service announced the opening of a call for proposals to participate in cooperative international tourism promotion initiatives, an initiative that seeks to boost tourism development in Chile through co-financing of innovative and strategic projects.

This call offers the opportunity to obtain co-financing for projects that promote Chile's tourism offering in key international markets, such as Europe (Spain, France, the United Kingdom, and Germany); North America (the United States, Canada, and Mexico); South America (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, and Peru); and distant markets (Australia and Asia).

Sernatur's national director, Cristóbal Benítez, explained that "with this cooperative initiative, we seek to strengthen Chile's presence in international markets through shared financing for participation in fairs, outreach campaigns, and press trips, aligning promotional efforts with effective marketing. This way, tourism sector companies, such as airlines, operators, and hotels, can apply to strengthen their reach and attract new strategic markets."

The deadline for tourism associations to submit their proposals is June 30, 2025. After this date, Sernatur will select up to three projects per market, ensuring significant support for the most promising initiatives. In total, the selected companies will be eligible for public funding of up to 50 percent of their proposals.
