Peru will be present at WTM Latin America 2025, which will take place from April 14 to 16 at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo. The participation comes at a particularly positive time: Brazil has consolidated itself as the fifth largest source of tourists to Peru in 2024, with 184,725 visitors throughout the year, an increase of 41% compared to 2023.

In this edition, the stand of PROMPERÚ, a Peruvian state entity that promotes tourism, will feature a new and impressive design, inspired by the pre-Hispanic constructions that still exist in the country and that attract tourists from all over the world. This 210 m² space will house 20 Peruvian exhibitors who will highlight Peru as an ideal destination for different types of travelers.

The Peruvian companies that will participate in this opportunity are: Casa Andina Hotels, DMC Peru Agency & Mice, Domiruth Peru Travel, Exploor Peru, Fiesta Tours / Peru Luxury Journeys, HHP Hoteles Hacienda, Hilton Garden Inn Cusco & Hilton Garden Inn Lima Miraflores, Pullman & Manto Gallery Hotels, Intursa Grupo Hotelero, Lima Tours, One Peru Travel, PDS Viajes - Perú Destino Seguro, Perú Jamuy Travel, Perú Travel Operador – Mayorista, Peru Vip Luxury Travel, Perurail, PTS Peru SAC, Salkantay Trekking Peru, Sun Gate Tours and Terra Peru.

During the three days of the fair, Peru will showcase this unique mix of culture, history, nature, gastronomy and adventure , so appreciated by Brazilian tourists: from the impressive peaks of the Andes and the mystique of Machu Picchu, to the vibrant streets of Lima and the enjoyment of culinary experiences, well-being and connection with communities in various Peruvian destinations.

In addition, there will be an event to present Peru as a destination with influencer and television presenter Patty Leone, who visited Lima and Cusco last year. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 15, at 4:15 pm, where she will also share tips for attracting customers on social media.

Nowadays, more and more Brazilians are traveling to Peru, and this is the result of structured promotional work. In this sense, PROMPERÚ has intensified its work with the Brazilian tourism trade, offering training to strengthen knowledge of the destination Peru and initiatives such as the Peru Week campaign, which allows Brazilians to access offers on flights, accommodation and tourist packages in Peru.

Added to this is the expanded air network between the two countries, which now totals 42 direct flights per week, connecting Lima with São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Porto Alegre and, recently, Curitiba. Another important attraction is the short flight duration, which is four and a half to five hours, depending on the city of departure.

“Being at WTM Latin America with a unique stand that highlights our cultural heritage is a way of showing the Brazilian market the authenticity and richness of Peru. We want to inspire tourists to explore all the possibilities that the country has to offer. Our goal is to consolidate Peru’s position in Brazil, supported by the diversity of its tourism offerings and the air connectivity that unites us, highlighting the proximity between the two countries,” highlighted Silvia Seperack, economic and commercial advisor for PROMPERÚ in Brazil.
